The 316th Wing’s goals are: evident pride in ourselves, our mission and our base; presidential-level support and respect from each to all of Team Andrews and their families; and Airmen fit and ready to fight and win across all spectrums.

Issue: In the Feb. 12, 2010, edition of the ‘‘Capital Flyer” it was stated on the front page that there are to be six U.S. territory flags installed in front of the Visitor Center. Those flags will join the current 50 state, as well as military service flags already out there. Would you be so kind as to list in the Flyer what the named territories that are to be so honored?
Answer: As the nation’s aerial port to the world, we take great pride in the first impression we provide our visitors of every rank and creed. That first impression starts with our flags, which are an outward commitment to recognizing every part of the United States in our mission here at Joint Base Andrews. With Airmen representing each of these territories, we see the importance of taking the extra time and effort to make sure that the District of Columbia, Guam, Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are honored at the Main Gate in order to further establish and exude the Presidential level service and image our base prides itself on.
