Unemployed? Need job training?

The Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center is having their Winterhaven Job Fair for veterans Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The DCVAMC is located at 50 Irving Street NW, Washington D.C. 20422. Retirees and veterans needing employment are encouraged to bring a resume and dress for a job interview as there will be opportunities to meet with over 40 employers. The VA Medical Center’s Compensated Work Therapy and Health Care for Homeless Veterans staff wants to help all veterans obtain employment to prevent and stop homelessness among our nation’s most valuable heroes: our veterans. Flu season is not over

The seasonal and H1N1 flu shots are very important to staying healthy. Ask your doctor or medical providers for their professional advice on the flu vaccine or call the Flu Info Line at 240-857-7777 to speak to a medical professional. The Flu Info Line will be in service Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice. For more information, visit http:⁄⁄www.andrews.af.mil.

Fisher House

A new Fisher House is under construction at the Washington D.C. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The DCVAMC has added additional parking to increase patient satisfaction. Drivers needed to transport

VA patients volunteer drivers are needed in Southern Maryland to transport VA patients to their scheduled appointments at the Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center. For more information, call Marie Halter at 301-932-7653
