‘‘Ever since I was young I have been fascinated with history and how it effects the present, so I really consider it a blessing to live in this historical region. The history of the United States is particularly interesting. What started as a profitable colony of Great Britain later became a world superpower after World War II. As history was being written, many were receptive to the common sense of independence from tax tyranny, dogmatic dictation and religious repression. The dominating financial motivation for independence coupled with excessively greedy and hubris leaders would later fuel our peculiar intuition and create an ideological schism on American soil. Eventually, we brought our act together and, thanks to people like Suzan B. Anthony and Dr. Martin Luther King, it is possible for me to serve my country as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. In addition, due to the effects of Brown vs. Board of Education, I am able to take advantage of many educational opportunities, and I look forward to completing my master of buisness administration in December.”
