Paintball Grand Opening

The paintball field is scheduled to hold a grand opening today from noon to 4 p.m. with free play, rental and paintballs for all military members. The opening game is slated to be Joint Andrews Airmen vs. Bolling⁄Anacostia. All are welcome to come join in the festivities. For more information, call Outdoor Recreation at 301-981-4109.

Cross Fit Certification

Heating⁄Cooling Changeover

The 316th Civil Engineer Squadron has begun the heating changeover process. There will be no heating or cooling until Thursday in order for 316 CES members to complete all equipment servicing, as well as support the energy conservation program. At any time during this period that the average daily temperature is projected to be 60 degrees or below for five consecutive days, heating will be activated base wide. Marriage and Parenting Seminar

A marriage and parenting seminar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bolling AFB Chapel Center. The seminar is open to all ID cardholders in the National Capital Region. Topics include: communication, conflict resolution, finance, role relationships and goal setting. There will be a free on-site faith-based kidís camp for children ages 3 (potty-trained) to 12 for those parents attending the seminar. Refresh-ments, lunch and seminar materials are free. The Turkey Trot Fun Run is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at the West Fitness Center.

Family Movie Night

Aerobics Classes

The Andrews fitness centers offer 27 free aerobics classes taught by certified instructors six days a week. Participation is on a first-come first-serve basis and steps and mats are provided. The West Fitness Center also offers Tae Kwon Do Wednesday and Friday 5 to 6 p.m. for $40 a month, and Kempo-Karate is held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for $25 a month. Auto Hobby Shop

Airmen Professional Enhancement Course

There is a new professional enhancement course targeted at airmen 1st classes with less than 36 months time in service. The Airman Professional Enhancement Course will discuss topics such as: career counseling, discipline, military heritage, communication skills, mentoring, debt management, enlisted evaluation system, enlisted force structure and career progression. Commissioning Briefing

Andrews members interested in becoming an officer are welcome to attend the commissioning briefing, which covers all commissioning programs, eligibility requirements and provides time for questions and answers. Briefings are held the third Wednesday of every month at the education services center, Bldg. 1413, from 1 to 2 p.m. For more information, call 301-981-6347.
