A Fond Farewell

E-Mail This Article Print This Story
By Chief Master Sgt. Robert Sealey
89th Airlift Wing command chief

Over the past 18 months I have been extremely blessed to serve as the 89th Airlift Wing command chief, and as a member of the Joint Base Andrews-Naval Air Facility Washington team. As my wife Connie and I prepare to leave for an upcoming assignment to Peterson AFB, Colo., as command chief for the 21st Space Wing, we want to thank the men and women of Joint Team Andrews for your outstanding support and guidance during our tour. Each of you makes history daily as you, through your support, touch and impact the mission of our president and other national leaders. You truly are an incredible team!

I would like to end with the words of Jerome ‘‘The Bus” Bettis of the world renowned Pittsburgh Steelers (yes, I am a diehard Steelers fan) upon his winning Super Bowl XL, ‘‘It’s been an incredible ride. Mission accomplished. With that, I have to bid farewell.” SAM FOX!
